Equitable Distribution
In Florida, the Courts strive to make an equitable distribution of marital property, debts and liabilities, which does not necessarily mean equal (50/50) division but an equitable and fair division. There are several factors that result in deviating from an equitable distribution of marital assets, debts and liabilities, including but not limited to dissipation of marital assets due to your spouse’s infidelity, addiction(s), etc...
